Research Ethics

Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Journal of Modern Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (JMHRS) is committed to promoting and implementing research ethics. Below are the key points related to the duties of editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher.

Duties of Editors

Fair Play and Editorial Independence
Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts solely based on their academic merit, including importance, originality, validity, and clarity, without regard to the authors' personal characteristics or affiliations. Decisions are made independently of external influences.

Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts, sharing information only with the corresponding author, reviewers, and relevant editorial advisors.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors and board members must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for personal research without the authors' explicit consent. Confidential information obtained during the editorial process must not be exploited for personal gain.

Publication Decisions
All submitted manuscripts will undergo peer review by at least three experts in the field, including one international reviewer. The Editor makes publication decisions based on the validation of the work, its relevance, and adherence to ethical standards.

Involvement and Cooperation in Investigations
Editors will investigate any ethical concerns regarding submitted manuscripts or published papers. Appropriate measures, such as corrections or retractions, will be taken if ethical violations are confirmed, even if identified years after publication.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer reviews are vital for guiding editorial decisions and improving manuscripts through constructive feedback.

Confidentiality
All manuscripts under review are confidential and must not be shared or discussed without the Editor’s authorization.

Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be objective, clearly articulated, and free of personal bias. Reviewers must provide constructive feedback that authors can use to enhance their work.

Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify any relevant works not cited by the authors and notify the editors of any significant overlap with other works they are familiar with.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality and should not use unpublished material from manuscripts for their research without authors' consent.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards
Authors must present accurate and comprehensive accounts of their work, with sufficient detail to allow replication. Any fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are considered unethical.

Data Access and Retention
Authors should be prepared to provide raw data upon request and ensure its availability to other qualified professionals for at least ten years post-publication.

Originality and Plagiarism
All submitted works must be original. Proper citation is required for any work or ideas derived from others. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.

Multiple, Duplicate, or Concurrent Submission
Manuscripts describing the same research must not be submitted to multiple journals simultaneously. This practice is unethical.

Authorship Criteria
Only individuals who meet the criteria for authorship should be listed as authors. Contributions must be significant, and all authors must approve the final version of the manuscript.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest as soon as possible, including financial and non-financial relationships related to the research.

Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of prior work and explicit permission for using confidential information is mandatory.

Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
Authors must disclose any inherent hazards in their research and ensure compliance with relevant laws and guidelines regarding human and animal subjects, including obtaining informed consent.

Peer Review Participation
Authors should engage fully in the peer review process and respond promptly to requests for clarifications or data.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If significant errors are identified post-publication, authors must notify the journal promptly to correct or retract the work.

Duties of the Publisher

Handling of Unethical Publishing Behavior
In cases of scientific misconduct or plagiarism, the publisher will collaborate with editors to investigate and address the issues, which may include publishing corrections or retracting articles.

Access to Journal Content
The publisher is dedicated to ensuring the permanent availability and accessibility of scholarly research through partnerships and maintaining a digital archive.
