Retraction Policy
Retraction Policy for Published or Unpublished Manuscripts
The Journal of Modern Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (JMHRS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical publishing and scholarly integrity. In certain situations, it may be necessary to retract published articles or withdraw unpublished manuscripts. The following policy outlines the procedures and criteria for retraction and withdrawal within JMHRS.
Retraction of Published Articles:
The retraction of a published article may be considered under the following circumstances:
- Gross Errors: If a published article contains significant errors in results, methodology, or findings that compromise the validity or integrity of the research.
- Plagiarism: If plagiarism or academic misconduct is detected post-publication.
- Redundant or Duplicate Publication: If the article is found to be a substantial duplication of previously published work, either by the same or different authors.
- Unethical Research Results: If the research or data presented in the article were obtained through unethical means or violate ethical standards.
- Major Conflict of Interest: If a significant conflict of interest that was undisclosed at the time of publication materially impacts the research’s credibility or interpretation.
There is no time limit for retracting an article. Articles that meet the above criteria may be retracted at any time.
Retraction Process:
The decision to retract an article is made by the Editor-in-Chief of JMHRS following a thorough investigation. The author(s) will be informed, and if retraction is necessary, a formal retraction notice will be published, clearly stating the reasons for the retraction.
Withdrawal of Unpublished Manuscripts:
Authors wishing to withdraw an unpublished manuscript during the review or processing stage should follow this procedure:
- Send an email to JMHRS indicating the intention to withdraw the manuscript, along with the signatures of all co-authors on the withdrawal form.
- Once the signed withdrawal form is received, an official decision of withdrawal will be communicated via email.
Without proper documentation and a confirmation email of withdrawal, the manuscript is not considered withdrawn, and submitting it elsewhere may be viewed as unethical misconduct.
Contact and Inquiries:
For any inquiries, retraction requests, or manuscript withdrawal notifications, please contact the editorial team of JMHRS at [insert contact email]. We are committed to promoting ethical publishing practices and transparency in scholarly communication.
This Retraction Policy is subject to periodic review and may be updated to align with the evolving standards of academic publishing.
