Ethical Review Committee Approval

Ethical Review Committee Approval

Ethical approval is required for all research conducted prior to publication in the Journal of Modern Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (JMHRS). This ensures that the research is carried out in a responsible and ethical manner, and that participants' rights are safeguarded.

Researchers must submit a research proposal to an ethics review board to obtain ethical approval. The board will evaluate the proposal to ensure it meets the following criteria:

  • The research is scientifically sound and properly designed.
  • The research is justified and has the potential to benefit society.
  • Risks to participants are minimized and justified by the potential benefits of the research.
  • Participants are fully informed of the risks and benefits before consenting to participate.
  • Participants can withdraw from the research at any time without penalty.

Once the ethics review board approves the research, the researcher will be granted ethical approval to proceed.

Manuscript Submission Requirements:

When submitting a manuscript to JMHRS, researchers must include a statement in the “Materials and Methods” section confirming that their research was conducted ethically and that ethical approval was obtained from an Ethics Review Committee (ERC). The statement should also specify the name of the ERC and the ethical approval number.

Additionally, JMHRS requires researchers to attach a copy of their ERC approval letter with their manuscript submission.
