Peer Review Policy
Peer Review Policy
Journal of Modern Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (JMHRS) employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring impartial and unbiased assessment from both authors and reviewers. Initially, all submissions are evaluated for their appropriateness to the journal’s scope. Selected papers are then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers who assess the scientific quality and rigor of the work. The final decision to accept or reject an article is made by the Editor, and this decision is final.
Instructions for Reviewers
In accordance with the ICMJE Peer Reviewers Guidelines under responsibilities in the submission and peer-review process:
-
Manuscripts submitted to journals are privileged communications and are considered the private, confidential property of the authors. Premature disclosure of a manuscript’s details can harm authors.
-
Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding the manuscripts and the information they contain. They are prohibited from discussing the authors' work publicly or using the authors’ ideas before the manuscript is published. Copies of the manuscript should be destroyed after the review is submitted, and manuscripts should not be retained for personal use.
-
Reviewers who involve a trainee or colleague in the review process must acknowledge their contributions in the comments submitted to the editor. Reviewers must also uphold the confidentiality of the manuscript, which may prevent them from uploading it to software or AI tools where confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. If AI technology is used to assist in the review process, reviewers should disclose this to the journal and recognize that AI-generated content can be incomplete, incorrect, or biased.
-
Reviewers are expected to respond promptly to review requests and submit their reviews within the agreed timeframe. Reviewer comments should be constructive, honest, and respectful.
-
Reviewers must declare any relationships or activities that may bias their assessment of a manuscript and should recuse themselves if a conflict of interest exists.
This policy aims to ensure a fair, transparent, and high-quality review process for all submissions to JMHRS.
